Beavercreek voters soundly rejected the idea of an income tax Tuesday.
The proposed tax, which failed with 61 percent of voters voting no, would have eventually lowered property taxes, city leaders said.
According to the Greene County Board of Elections, 6,437 votes were cast against the new tax while 4,030 votes were cast in favor.
