Run-off loss stops Mayor Leitzell at one term

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Gary Leitzell is a one term mayor.

The Dayton mayor lost in a three-way run-off where the top two advance to the November election and third place goes home.

Leitzell, an Independent, won his seat in 2009 from then incumbent Rhine McLin. The final results:

Gary D. Leitzell    2338 - 23.69% A. J. Wagner        2566 - 26.00% Nan Whaley         4965 - 50.31%
