TROY, Ohio (WDTN) — Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney will make a stop in the Miami Valley before heading departing from Dayton International Airport Sunday.
Romney will be in Ohio twice this week, but his Sunday travels will take him to K’s Hamburger Shop in Troy.
"I think that we just kind of represent Americana in many ways," said K's owner, Marcia Klein Ryan. "One of the things I appreciate about Romney coming here is the fact that people will maybe think more about politics and how it affects their life".
The burger break is the last item on Romney’s agenda Sunday, putting him in town as early as 5 p.m.
The Associated Press reports Romney will begin with a pancake breakfast in Brunswick before he heads to a rally in Newark. The presumptive GOP nominee will then venture to Troy, a town situated between Piqua and Dayton on Interstate 75.
K’s Hamburger Shop is no stranger to political visits. Rick Santorum stopped in ahead of Ohio’s presidential primary.
Dan Quayle also popped in for a burger during his tenure as vice president.
2 NEWS’ Megan O’Rourke reports speaker of the house John Boehner will join Romney Sunday afternoon.
